Congo-born, Fulham-bred, Star-bound: EDDIE KADI

Having sold out all his shows at the sister venue (Indigo2), Black Grapes front man comedian Eddie Kadi, took a big leap of faith in his Kadidas' and landed in the 23,000 capacity venue.

Now, doing the 02, aint no joke... For you and I, but the 27 year olds two day 'camping publicity' ensured the O2 swarmed with familiar faces and newcomers to the comedy circuit. As being named as the most popular event in London of the month. The audience braced themselves to be doubled over with laughter as they kept their eyes on the stage.

Promotional videos were shown above the stage, above an Adidas stage bed, and the biggest Adidas shoe you will ever see in your life. Kadi previously sold out his shows at the sister venue (Indig02), but doing the O2, is no joke. Although the show started late, the audience were welcomed with an opening performance from cute upcoming singer Shante Marie. I'll be surprised if she's around for any longer than a year, but I guess everybody gets their chance to shine.

As with every show, technical difficulties are not farfetched, but one would hope that they are kept at a minimal at one of Europe’s biggest indoor venues. Unfortunately, the mic was not 'fully equipped ' for Mr. Kadis opening scene, but his warm welcome was embraced by the eager audience nonetheless. He entertained the audience with his aura and his shiny, 'air conditioned', fearless wardrobe. His plea to be seen far and wide did not go unnoticed. His trousers from his 2nd outfit change looked like they had been starched for life (Sharp!).

Personally, being no stranger to Kadi's comedy shows, I was expecting more standup comedy, as opposed to was 'An audience with...' acts such as Smila, Woman of Wind- Yolanda Brown, a very stylish Tinie Tempah, Meleka who showed her sultry side with a melodic version of 'Go', and my boys, dance sensation Peridot.

Kadi also made sure that he displayed almost ALL of his talents, when he remixed Tempah's Passout, toPassport, which was one of the highlights of the evening; as well as re acting (yes, acting!) Denise's"death arrival" scene from Eastenders, with the fresh looking Diane Parish herself.
Diane also spoke with Eddie about the importance of supporting others
and the fundraising that was taking
place by the
ACLT charity (Kaddi's Kadets). So, regardless of the cold venue,
Eddie was able to give laughter a warm space in the heart

.

Guests also included Ruldof Walker, Kano, Miss London and Reggie Yates.

"Thank you all so, so, so much for making tonight such an amazing moment in my life!!! God bless every single one of you!! The fact is this could not have been done without you!!!!!!
