The R&B, Hippie, Neo-Soul, Rock Star....(Rockstar?!)

I did not mean to keep you all waititng for this ishk, but please believe, it was worth the wait.
Raheem Devaughn was first scheduled to fly over to his European fans in May, but thankfuly failed and met us at the final leg of his European tour on the 1st of October at London's Jazz Cafe.
With no opening act, I braced myself to be indulged with some serious soul.
Before he entered his band, his BV's (Backing Vocalists) and his artist, yes... Artist took their place as the crowd welcomed the very well dressed, Grammy nominated singer.
He took to the mic wearing a black blazer (with the red pocket square, of course), a fitted white shirt, a grey waistcoat and an undone bow tie, all of which had left his body by the end of the show, leaving him with a vest, jeans and a satisfied smile.

Opening the show, he promotes his new album The Love and War Masterpeace (RCA) with Revelations 2010 with his band adding acoustic jamaican sounds.
The artist stood behind as Devaughn belted his well known tracks like Guess Who Loves You More, Woman, and one of my PERSONAL favourites, B.O.B.

He reintroduced my new favourite slow song Believe, and used my phone to intoduce Calling Me (Coz, we go way back! lol).
By the end of his 2hour non stop performance, his artist produced a picturesque piece of art that was outstanding.
I waited for months for Raheem DeVaughn to come over, and it was worth every single minute of anticipation. He is a true performer; although he doesn't dance, he performs with utimate passion and is very intune with his audience.
This show shows proves that although he is Grammy nominated, the brightest stars shine to those who aren't wearing shades.
